Casey is riding her very nice Arabian Jake and John is riding Jake.

(Don't ask)

Does anyone know exactly where in Myles Standish this shot was taken? It's a very distinct little road that doesn't really go anywhere, unless you know where the "Meadow trail" branches off.

Sue, on the "new trail".

As hard as it is to believe we found a new "trail" near Myles Standish. I'm sure the makers of this trail never envisioned horses on it but then they never met us! To find this trail go east on Three Cornered Pond Road from Gate 30, about 1/2 mile after the East Line Road and about 100 yards after where the road forks watch on the RIGHT side of the road for a well used deer run, That deer run will take you to this trail. It's also a lot easier to find from Mast Road at Halfway Pond. It just makes a short loop from the pond and back but it is different and very pretty.

The white stuff behind Sue is the remains of a snowman someone made in front of a bench beside the trail.

The "New Trail" loking south.
Little Grassy Pond

Looking out over Little Grassy Pond from the bluff that is Southeast of the pond. Where is that you ask? It's the little pond with the great water stop right off Cutter Field Road in Myles Standish. Cutter Field Road makes a hard turn in a depression and just to the South is Little Grassy pond. Camp Squanto is at the end of Cutter Field Road.

The pond was virtually dry this Summer and I'm glad it has water again. It is otherwise very hard to find water in this area.

You find this view by taking an indistinct trail across from the parking area just after the "turn" in Cutter Field Road. Not too many people even know there are trails in there. Now I'll know if anyone is keeping track here.
