To Your Dogs Health

This page is devoted to listing things that your dog shouldn't eat and hints about how to best care for your dog. Getting a new dog is something like having a kid, it's a learn as you go process, usually, and it seems as though you never learn enough, fast enough.

Did you know that your dog shouldn't eat pork products, especially ham and cured pork. This includes bacon too! Pigs ears seem to be OK, although I don't have definitive evidence to that statement. Some folks say they have always fed pork and table scraps to their dog without harmful effect. Sort of like when the farmer, who had cut back on feed for his animals, worked his Mule hard and it died. The Mule never did that before!

Chocolate is another no-no. It seems almost a sin to not let your best friend enjoy one of your favorite things. I'm going to find out exactly why pork and chocolate is a problem and I will put up my findings here.
